“To create permeable interfaces between communities and places. To cultivate diversity to permit, at the same time, the free flow of people and ideas.”

Kony 2012 has blown up social media in the last week. I find this very strange seeing as how he has been at large for 20 plus years. Why Now? Why Kony 2012? I looked through google news and found many articles about joseph kony from as early as 2006 (…
I found this groups week in design discussion about the way the kony 2012 campaign was designed to be very interesting. The way it has been designed is a very crucial part of the success and its sudden ubiquity
How to talk about your work
Most important, second important, third important.
Don’t talk about what class its for and what the project is.
describe how your design, process, work addressed the problem/ what problem was addressed. (ex. taking the existing brand and updating it to reflect the personality of the company)
Amongst the competitiors and how the design communicates effectively what it is supposed to. (ex. communicating the personality of the business that sets it apart from its competitiors)
What is important to you about the final product (how the logo shows through the die cut or how a different material of box is used for efficiency)
Dance is a very time consuming discipline that takes passion, dedication and determination in order to succeed. I created ads for the ECU’s School of Theatre and Dance, Dance Performance major that would effectively communicate three motivational ideas of dance using elegant to appeal to potential dance majors. These simple black and white photos highlight the form and the training that dancers must go through which sets it apart from the traditional, busy dance performance images of large groups.
